About Us

Mission Statement- To provide community-based care in family settings with a conviction that all children have great intrinsic worth and are capable of positive change.

Values

We are committed to the potential and dignity of each youth.

We solicit feedback from those we serve and those who represent them in order to improve the quality of our services.

We value the talents of committed, dedicated individuals and invest in quality, innovative and current training opportunities for them.

Quality programs take precedence over agency growth.

We are committed to the best practice in the delivery of services to youth.

Each youth is unique; therefore, we strive to individualize services.

We strive to meet the evolving needs of our community and are sensitive to feedback from it.

We are committed to a corporate structure which values and respects the opinions of its members and solicits them equally and actively.

We are committed to a corporate structure which relies upon the talents and skills of its members.

We value family-style living in teaching youth the skills they need to improve their interpersonal relationships.

CTH, while only in business since July 15, 2002, has history in numerous Teaching Family (T-F) organizations. Many of our Teaching Parents (TP's) are past certified from various national sites including Adriel School, Vermont, Colorado and Achievement Place in Kansas, the first T-F program. Our TP's have an average of 22 years experience working with high risk youth. What is T-F? A nationally recognized child care model, utilizing behavior management technology. We bring with us a team of evaluators, educators, teachers, and administrators. CTH is a community-based network of family-style group homes and treatment foster homes. The couples are highly qualified and well-trained in teaching youth the social skills they need to get along at home, in the community and achieve academic success.

CTH serves all counties in Ohio. We offer services that are cost effective, least restrictive and supports permanency planning and family reunification. The children we serve may display a high degree of impulsive and acting out behavior often characterized by verbal and physical aggression; or have multiple and severe psychiatric, emotional and behavioral problems ranging from personality disorders, mental retardation to sexual acting out.
