Independent Living Program

Overview |
A Pre Life Skills Assessment will be given at the beginning of the
Program or within 60 days of a youths 16th birthday. The
Assessment shall contain information from the child, caregiver, and case
manager. An Independent Living Plan will be written within 30 days of the
completed assessment by the Teaching Parents. The Plan will outline the
strengths, limitations, resources of the youth and services provided. The
Plan will be reviewed and updated quarterly. |

Goal |
Primary goal is to
teach youth the skills with the necessary competency for them to live
productively, self sufficiently and responsibly with other adults in their
communities and workplaces. |

Program |
Eligible youth meet to
complete the CTH Independent Living Program. The Summer Program lasts
approximately 2 months and is weekly. The Fall Program meets for 8 months.
